For over 30 years, Chevy Chase Surgical Associates, P.C. has been providing high quality, patient centered surgery in the Maryland, D. C., and Virginia area. If your primary care provider has recommended care from a general surgeon, but you’re not sure what that includes, we created this page for you to explore. We pride ourselves on having a team of expert physicians and advanced practice providers honored to guide you through the experience.

General Surgery includes multiple diseases and areas of the body that may or may not require surgery including abdomen, hernias, breast, colon, rectal, thyroid, and soft tissue masses/biopsies. See a full list of the conditions we treat including the ones below.

We offer flexible appointments to treat both urgent care issues and non-urgent problems. We work with a schedule that is convenient for you to facilitate getting the care you need.

Most scheduled surgical procedures can be performed safely as an outpatient (same day). Our same day surgeries are typically done in the ambulatory surgery center adjacent to our office, Private Surgical Suite, L.L.C.
​
We strongly believe that maintaining continuity before and after surgery results in better outcomes, therefore, our patients always have afterhours access to a provider on our team.
